Having a dedicated visual UI to question and route the user throughout the assessment leads to exact sequences of inquiry, making complex assessment flows reliable.

Custom GPTs provide a way to tailor a powerful general-purpose AI model for specific tasks using instructions, uploaded knowledge, and defined capabilities. Custom GPTs are versatile tools adaptable to various purposes: creating a sophisticated consulting assessment product on top of these requires significant manual design, lots of prompt engineering and integrating external tools. Creating, debugging and maintaining complex, multi-step, branching diagnostic flows only through natural language prompts quickly becomes unmanageable.

Analogy: Kitra is a racing car, purpose-built for a specific high-performance task. Custom GPTs are an engine: powerful and versatile, useful when building a boat, a car or a truck - but requiring you to build the rest of the vehicle.

Business Scaling Focus

Kitra is built around transforming consulting expertise into scalable digital products: its end goal is to increase consultants' revenues, also offering features like "Trail Discovery" for SEO and "K-Link" for lead generation. It focuses on the entire lifecycle of a consulting product: from creation to marketing and scaled delivery.

As of today, Custom GPTs do not offer a direct, structured B2B monetization path. While some form of selling Custom GPTs via the GPT Store has been announced, it's expected to be based on general user engagement rather than a tailored B2B sales model, making it better suited for individual or smaller-scale applications, not for selling high-value assessment products directly to businesses.

Kitra offers explicit support for gathering input from multiple stakeholders within a client organization, featuring purpose-built functionality for managing multi-person assessment workflows. This means people with different roles inside a company can complete your assessments independently: Kitra then merges answers and extracts insights based on your predefined guidance and interpretation frameworks.

Custom GPTs can be designed to ask questions meant for multiple stakeholders but lack built-in features to natively track, consolidate and process responses from separate users within a single assessment instance. While you can instruct a GPT to ask a certain question to User X and another to User Y, all interaction is constrained within a single chat session. This typically requires X and Y to be in front of the same screen, sharing the same keyboard and seeing each other's answers, which is not always practical or desirable.

Kitra also allows your entire team to collaborate on creating assessments, with customizable permissions for each team member.

Custom GPTs lack native client management or advanced access control features: you can choose between "public" and "accessible by anyone with the link" ones. They do not currently support collaborative building by a team with differentiated permissions within the standard Custom GPT creation interface.

Knowledge Integration

Kitra aims to preserve and scale the consultant's critical thinking. With Custom GPTs, you're also responsible for manually redacting sensible information from your knowledge base to avoid risking data leaks.

It also includes a Hybrid Mode: the final report is automatically generated by the AI based on your framework, but consultants can review and edit it before delivery. This crucial step allows you to protect your brand and reputation from potential AI hallucinations or unintended leaks of confidential information from past cases.

A Custom GPT can be instructed to generate a report in a specific format. While it can produce good text-based reports, ensuring consistent structure, integrating complex insights systematically, and maintaining a high level of polish across many reports for varied assessments can be challenging without external formatting, significant prompt refinement or manual review processes.

Multi-vendor Models

Kitra automatically chooses the best model for the task within the assessment and reporting process. We currently integrate models from Anthropic, Google, Mistral and OpenAI. This multi-vendor approach ensures your assessments' compilation and final results are not constrained by the capabilities, biases, or availability of a single AI model provider, offering resilience and optimized performance.
